Crosby returns to Penguins practice

Penguins center Sidney Crosby practiced today with the team at Mellon Arena, three weeks after sustaining a high ankle sprain.

He wore a yellow non-contact jersey. Penguins officials said his recovery period has not been accelerated. When originally diagnosed, the Penguins said he would be out 6-8 weeks.

The Penguins reassigned forward Tyler Kennedy to their Wilkes-Barre/Scranton farm team. He has been recovering from mononucleosis. via Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
